Emergent Tech, LLC ("DeepDocket," "we," or "us") provides legal workflow, intake, document, signature, and AI-assisted tools. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website or use our services.

1. DeepDocket and your firm

We use account, billing, security, and business-contact information to operate DeepDocket. A law firm determines why it collects client matter records and who may access them. We process those records to provide services to the firm under its instructions and applicable agreements. The firm is responsible for its client notices, authority to provide records, and professional obligations.

If a firm supplied your information, contact it about its legal work and records. You may also contact us at [email protected] for help with a privacy request. Our role and the firm's role depend on the activity and applicable law.

We receive information from you, your firm, invited participants, connected services you authorize, and your use of DeepDocket. This includes:

3. How we use information

We use information to manage accounts and permissions; run workflows and integrations; generate and deliver documents and notifications; provide requested AI assistance; administer billing and existing referral obligations; respond to support and privacy requests; investigate errors and misuse; and meet legal obligations. Content you choose to publish is displayed to its intended audience.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performance of our agreement for account and service operations, legal obligations for required records and disclosures, legitimate interests in service security and support where permitted, and consent where required, including optional cookies. Firms must establish the authority and any additional conditions required for sensitive client data.

4. Who receives information

Firm members and invited participants receive access according to their permissions. Providers receive information needed to perform their services:

Calendar invitations, emails, downloads, and public content can create copies outside DeepDocket. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and security, resolve legal claims, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business, subject to applicable protections.

Google calendar synchronization can read and write event titles, descriptions, times, locations, attendees, and reminders. You can disconnect in account settings or revoke access through Google; this does not remove previously imported events or copies shared with attendees. Our use of Google API information is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. AI processing

Assistant and form-mapping requests may send prompts, conversation history or summaries, selected matter or package context, tool results, and PDF content to OpenAI or Anthropic. Context can include names, document titles, statuses, and other personal information. DeepDocket stores conversations, outputs, and task history to provide the feature. Credit accounting stores usage and financial metadata separately from conversation content.

The providers' commercial API policies describe no model training on customer content by default, with opt-in or feedback exceptions. Abuse monitoring, feature-specific storage, safety, and legal retention can still apply; these services are not a guarantee of zero retention. Deleting a conversation does not automatically erase provider records or financial usage history. Firms must authorize information supplied to AI features and review the results before relying on them.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and matter records to support ongoing services and record history. Retention depends on the record's purpose, the account relationship, firm instructions, and legal, accounting, security, and dispute requirements. Records do not automatically expire solely because an account is inactive.

You or your firm can use available deletion controls or request deletion through support. Closing an account or deleting an item does not immediately remove all attachments, audit history, financial records, backups, or provider copies. Some records must be retained for applicable obligations or legal holds. We review requests and explain applicable restrictions, coordinating with the firm where required.

Download records you need before closing an account and contact support about additional export or deletion requests. Keep independent copies of records your firm must preserve.

7. Security and processing locations

We use authentication, account-based access controls, encrypted web connections, and filtering of selected sensitive log fields. No service or transmission is completely secure. Report suspected unauthorized access to [email protected]; do not include sensitive matter records in an initial report.

DeepDocket operates in the United States and uses US hosting and storage. Providers may also process information in other countries, whose laws may differ from yours. Contact us before submitting information that requires a particular location or contractual transfer arrangement.

8. Children

DeepDocket is intended for users aged 18 or older. Firms and authorized adults may provide records about children for legal matters and are responsible for the necessary authority and notices. This does not permit children to register or participate directly. If you believe a child is using the service directly or information was supplied without authority, contact us and the responsible firm.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law and our role, you may request access, correction, a copy, deletion, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent; object to processing; or opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, certain profiling, or certain sensitive-data uses. You may also have the right to use an authorized agent, appeal a decision, or complain to a privacy regulator.

Send requests or appeals to [email protected]. Tell us your relationship to DeepDocket and the request without initially sending sensitive records. We may verify identity and authority and coordinate requests for firm-controlled records with the firm. You can also update available account information in your settings.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to reject or withdraw optional services. Global Privacy Control keeps optional analytics off in that browser; we do not respond separately to the older Do Not Track signal. Third-party services may associate browser information with information from other sites. The Cookie Policy explains these services and controls. These browser choices do not delete server records. Use an unsubscribe link, where provided, or contact support to stop promotional messages; necessary service messages are separate.

10. Changes and contact
